Custom Made Sash Windows

Once we have received an enquiry, we come out to visit your home and discuss the options available to you. If you require new custom made sash windows, we can manufacture them to suit your every need. You can choose to match the original design or have something different.We recommend using Accoya sustainable wood for all our sash windows.

We offer two systems on the sliding sash windows. The traditional system uses steel/lead weights, ropes and pulleys to counter-balance the sashes and allow them to slide up and down with ease. The other system, sash balances, is a spring inside a tube that is adjusted to match the weight of your sashes and allow them to slide.

All of our custom made sash windows are fully draught proof, with the deventer flipper seal in all four corners of each sash and aquamac schleagl 21 in the middle rails where the sashes meet. The Deventer SP5920 flipper seal offers a closed cell foam and hollow chamber which gives a high tolerance and an acoustic value of 40dB (diagram below)

All our windows are crafted using solid sections of timber, we do not use any engineered timber or any veneers. They are made using traditional machinery with mortice and tenon joints.
